Post here (as a guest - you don't actually have to log in) if you're having trouble signing in or activating your account.
There may be a problem with herald webmail filtering account activation e-mails, so you might want to have them sent to a hotmail address or something instead.
If still no, then make yourself known here, and we'll try and set things straight.

Update:
Right, you no longer need to use your e-mail address to activate accounts, so this problem should be taken care of.
However, you do still need to validate your e-mail address if you want e-mail notifications from the forums (e.g. if you sign up to be notified of replies to your threads or forget your password and need to have it sent to you or whatever).
In the event that you do now sign up with a herald account and forget your password, and the "here's your password, dear" e-mail doesn't get through, you can always e-mail meself or kenners to change your password to whatever you want.
***In brief: you can sign up with any e-mail address now, but I'd say that non-herald ones are preferable***

Well, it's all OK now, as I tried using my clara address and it got through fine. But just FTR, nothing reached my potatojunkie address - probably something to do with how the hosting company treats invalid bounce addresses.

Yeah, the whole 'activating account e-mails' thing doesn't seem to be too hot on proboards as far as I can work out.
Activation is turned off now though, so even is the e-mail doesn't get through, your account should still work.
I'll just go and check.
edit: yep accounts are fine. The only problem would then be if we sent out mass e-mails (which we won't), or if you need to reset your password. That might be a little tricky, but one of the admins should be able to do that if need be.
goddamn spam and its filters.
